  Kevin Powers

  Lead Tattoo Artist and Owner

  Kevin has been professionally tattooing for over 20 years and has co-owned Inksmith Tattoo & Piercing in Louisville, CO since 2012. Kevin specializes in a wide variety of styles such as black and grey, American traditional, neo-traditional, and watercolor. Kevin also co-owns Northern Hills Collective Tattoo & Piercing in Sturgis, SD. Kevin enjoys spending his time at both shops tattooing everything under the sun. Kevin is truly a master at his craft!

  Luke Karlin

  Tattoo Artist

  My name is Luke, I’m a tattoo artist here at Inksmith Tattoo. I’ve been an artist my whole life, and started my tattoo apprenticeship here at Inksmith in 2021. Under the guidance of Kevin Powers, and with the help of many talented and experienced artists, I was taught everything I know today about the trade. I started tattooing clients in 2022, developing a well rounded skill set in different styles, techniques, and subject matter. I love the American Traditional style most of all, tattooing a wide array of imagery in a bold, bright, saturated, traditional fashion. Between everything that comes with tattooing, I love drawing new flash designs and painting. Stop by the shop sometime and check out my books!

  Tim Atwell

  Tattoo Artist

  Tim started tattooing in 2007 & owns another business in Rockford, IL called Delicious Ink Tattoo & Piericng. He’s also been piercing since 2005 and is passionate about perfecting both crafts. He specializes in watercolor tattoos but he also enjoys doing traditional, trash polka, graffiti, and Japanese styles. Tim also co-owns Northern Hills Collective Tattoo & Piercing in Sturgis, SD alongside Kevin and Denice Powers. You can find him tattooing at both of his studios as well as guest spotting at Inksmith in Louisville from time to time!

  Leo Gaglardi

  Tattoo Artist

  Leo Gaglardi originated in Patagonia Argentina and has been tattooing for the last 13 years and counting. He mainly specializes in traditional styles but is extremely efficient in many other styles. He has spent the last decade traveling and tattooing in both Americas. Leo loves to create new art as often as possible, he’s also fluent in both Spanish and English. Leo is no stranger to Inksmith and has come back to America with his amazing son to join our team again!

  Denice Powers

  Lead Piercer and Owner/Shop Manager

  Denice has been piercing since 2005. She started her piercing journey in 2004 as a Body Jewelry Buyer. From there, she held roles as Front Desk Receptionist, Shop Assistant, Apprentice, and then Piercer. Eventually, she became Co-Owner and Shop Manager of Inksmith when Kevin Powers and herself opened Inksmith Tattoo & Piercing in June 2012. She is a Fakir Comprehensive Body Piercing Alumni (2016) as well as a Fakir Advanced Body Piercing Alumni (2018). She has also taken dozens of continuing education classes during multiple years of attendance to the Annual Seminar/Expo for the APP (2015-present). She enjoys preforming all piercings, but holds a special place for first Little Lobe Piercings done in singles or pairs. She might be a Colorado transplant, but Louisville is certainly her home!

  Jaycie Lee

  Piercer and Permanent Makeup Artist

  Jaycie started with Inksmith in 2015 as a receptionist and has worked her way up to being an apprentice under Denice. She is now a full-time Body Piercer. In addition, Jaycie is a GIA Applied Jewelry Professional, Licensed Esthetician, and Permanent Makeup Artist. She also offers permanent makeup removal services.   Vanessa Bathory

  Piercer

  Vanessa originated in New York City, and has been piercing since 2010. Over a decade later, she has found a home at Inksmith Tattoo and Piercing in Louisville, Colorado. During recent years, she continues to cultivate her craft and love for the Body Modification Industry by attending virtual classes and seminars with renowned APP piercers and educators. She enjoys ear curations and making people feel beautiful and unique with their body adornments. Whenever she isn’t at Inksmith decorating people’s bodies, she’s having adventures with her wife and their four dogs, or enjoying karaoke night at a local venue. Be sure to come see Vanessa! She will greet you with a smile and make you feel like an old friend.

  Bianca Halbedl

  Piercer

  Bianca was born in Hawaii but raised in Denver. Starting her piercing journey in 2020 and completed her apprenticeship in 2021, Bianca has now found her home at Inksmith, piercing. When she's not piercing you can catch her hanging out with her 7 pets or going to a concert.
